The day began with a 4:30am hike. The mountains were absolutely majestic as the sun rose. No sleep for me the previous night or breakfast to start the day brought on a delirium that barely got me through the hike. I could hardly stand. The beauty was out of this world. A night sky like that.... I hate to say its the best Ill ever see, but it was so damn good. The weariness and disbelief played tricks with my head but reaching the top of the mountain..... it was all worth it then.
The sun doesnt rise here.... it BURSTS as it makes its entrance for the day.
This was in the first few moments of arriving. Standing on that rock felt like the world was swallowing me up. More the intensity of everything around me rather than the height of the rock is what hit me most. So amazing.
