mami panchita, lima, peru

9:30am. so my first misison last night was to immediately cut my belongings in half. if i´m going to enjoy this month i need to be lighter on the feet. dom and i have been treated incredibly, from our driver who saved us from the haggling frenzy of taxi drivers at the airport to the staff at the hostel who wasted no time to hand us a beer. we were escorted from the car to the entrance of the hostel by a man wearing a SEGURIDAD tee shirt. eek. that pretty much scared any adventurism for me for the night. poor dom doesn´t know he hopped on a plane with grandma yet. (: the plan today is to get to cusco by tomorrow. the bus ride is another 24 hour of travel. a brutal thought after the last transfer from san salvador to lima. (topped both of our worst flights ever. ) but cusco is said to be amazing. we´re hoping to hook up with other kids there and settle for a few days before heading to the ruins. and i´m sick!! coughed up something not too pretty this morning but my heart feels great.
